Veteran Quarterback Turns Down Jets Offer To Take Aaron Rodgers' Place.

The New York Jets experienced a small amount of panic after Aaron Rodgers' injury almost two weeks ago.

Zach Wilson is his backup, but there wasn't much depth behind him before (or even now).

Tim Boyle is the only other quarterback listed on the current roster. They attempted to persuade former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne to come out of retirement for this reason.

Henne was asked to join the Jets, but he declined, according to Matthew Knaub of the Reading Eagle. Henne is content with his retirement.

Henne served as Patrick Mahomes' back-up quarterback for the Chiefs for the previous five seasons.

He was a member of the team that won two Super Bowls. He is content with his job as a coach,

at Wilson Senior High School in Pennsylvania right now.  To end their 12-year postseason drought,

the Jets will rely on Wilson for the remainder of the campaign.
